(you never needed them anyways ;o) )
Well, well. It's official, Turgel decided to start his own brand new WoW guild on DB.
The idea behind it is to gather all of them pun loving, philosophic and generally humorous Role-players of the realm. And by humorous I mean my, that is his, sense of humor. (You guys know what I mean)
I want an all IC guild chat, all IC dungeons for the whole profit of IC fun. Let's have philosophic discussion about the skills. (Just imagine how much fun it can be to rol-eplay for example a mage trying to teach a warrior how to sheep)
I want the relaxing part of role-playing. Not these killermegaultralong RP-chains, where you have to walk from a to be to Z over c on the bridge to D. No role-playing for the sake of role-playing. Easy to catch up fun discussions. Stupid things you can catch up to easily and over all the search for the TRUTH, which is definitly out there, but hiding. The theory behind it is simple, if we find out the TRUTH (which we will ICly never do, for sure) the world will change into a totally different one. And as we are awfully curious, we just have to try. The problem is that you can't find the TRUTH by discussing about the TRUTH. You have to stumble into it by accident. So what is preferred is discussions and talking about everything, and as we know that puns cluster, puns are highly appreciated.
So, what I need help on would be the name, and afterwards some help on signing the charta. As it is a knowledge oriented guild I was checking some latin sayings that I'd like to use. So, here they come:
1. "Ad Absurdum" - Well every list needs a start, doesn't it?
2. "Advocatus diaboli" - Hmm I'd need the plural for Advocatus in that case...
3. "Experimentum crucis" - The crucial experiment
4. "Graeca sunt, non legentur" - It's Greek i will not read it or something
5. "Interregnum" - Would be nice, since the gnomes need a new government anyways
6. "Lapsus linguae" - Well a nice excuse for puns *g*
7. "Noli turbare circulos meos" - Who likes his circles to be disturbed? They are so nice and round...
8. "Non testatum" - well not proved basically
9. "Orphidia in herba" - We could be a force, but seldom a visible
10. "Perpetuum mobile" - Well, you know Turgle - Someone has some coffee and sugar for him?
11. "Punctum saliens" - Jumping point... See above ... *boing* *boing*
12. "Quo errat demonstrator" - Where the proving person is wrong *i like it *
13. "Reductio ad absurdum" - A technique of proving where the opposite is proved to be wrong.
14. "Contra receptam opinionem" - against the common belief
And now: DISCUSS ... *ducks, hides and covers*
O.K. Now some challenge for the latin-lovers of you (*giggles* anyone notices the pun *giggle*) I need the translation of "in madness lies the truth" as an analogy to "In vinum veritas" to add under 15.
Could that be "In dementio veriats?" ... No idea ... they have this case problem always ... I just have no idea...
[Edit:] I should mention that it's about the "Wee free men" movie...

"In January 2006, it was revealed that director Sam Raimi has signed up to make a movie based on this novel, from a script by Pamela Pettler, the writer of Tim Burton's Corpse Bride. Sony Pictures Entertainment have recently acquired the rights to the book. Producers: Josh Donen, Vince Geradis, Ralph Vicinanza. No other details have been released about the movie adaptation."
Yeah *cheer*

On my hunt for my girlfriend's birthday present today, I decided to pick up a burger from the local "restaurant" with the golden M.
And it was as always much to full.Every time I decided that I could buy one of their burgers lately, I left the restaurant without one, because I totally see no point in waiting 10+ minutes just to get a burger where the salad already saw his best times, because it was squeezed between the hot bun and the meat at 60°C for more that I don't know, but longer than it was good for it.
I mean, what are they doing wrong here? Exept here in the area where I live, I never had to wait longer than 2 minutes in a McDoof and I never had one of these dead BigMacs where the salad was all squishy and gray.
Am I just unlucky, or should they work on their service?
I learned to live without ThinkGeek , I accepted the fact that I will not call a NeoRest my throne in near future, but I just don't know why sony will not launch the MyLo in Europe.
I mean, sure, we don't have that many open WLANs here. But they totally leave one of the most HighTech consuming group in the rain. Students. Every campus has a WLAN these days. I don't know whether that small beauty has the capability to deal with closed networks and VPN but that can't actually be a problem, can it?
I want one soooo badly, but for that I guess I have to travel to the US, which is one thing, I really don't want to do. Well that makes me think ... Maybe they have an English Version available in Japan, too.
Well, I should stop dreaming, couldn't afford it ATM anyways. There's noone out there who could give me one for free, is there? So I guess I have to move and get rich. Or die trying ...
What's your favorite foreign accent?
That will be Swiss German. Well, to be more precise, the accent Swiss people have when talking german because Schwiitzerdüütsch is an own language and that wouldn't be an accent ...
When it comes to accents in english that would be most likely Scottish or if something more understandable is serahced, australian...
... is just not my day. One of the days murphy strikes at his finest ...
What's your motto?
To be honest that would be ... "If it's not broken, it just has to few options." But I'm not really proud of it. ;o)
What song or lyrics are stuck in your head at the moment? What album is it from?
Submitted by Lox Ly.
Well, for some time now, a refrain keeps stuck to my head. Not that I want to get rid of it. I like it.
"
Cuz it's not the fall that hurts
It's when you hit the ground"
From "It's not the fall that hurts" by the Ceasars
Who's your favorite movie villain?
Well, thats a tough one ... I can't decide between the red guy and I.R. Baboon. So, discuss ;o)
Sizi's post about her german classes reminded me of something... *giggle*
